Almost Live APRS of the Hartford Marathon 1997

These javAPRS files are rather large. It may take
a little while to load. When it is all loaded, you will see the
1997 Hartford Marathon 26.2 mile Running Course and the vehicles
we used in the 1997 race as seen at the Command Center. On
October 10th 1998 I plan to have live feed from Hartford, CT via
N1QKP and www.aprs.net
This is a replay from 1997. Use the commands
below to zoom in on the action:
The Start and Finish are in the Bushnell Park, downtown Hartford
(SW Corner of the Map). The route takes you east to East
Hartford, then North to South Windsor, then backtracking back to
Bushnell Park. There are three Marathon Events: Full, Half and
Marathon Relay. About 1000 volunteers are needed to support the
event. About 100 communication radios are in use divided over 10
commercial and Amateur Radio Frequencies.
