The Hartford Marathon Foundation needs your help to make this race run even smoother. Some of you were monitoring the event last year, and not participating for whichever reason. This is the time to come and join nearly 1000 volunteers in their effort to put this Connecticut sports event 'on the map'.

We would like you to come as a club or as an individual. Are you new to the hobby? Are you worried about finding your way around in the Hartford Area -   DON'T BE. We will guide you to where you need to be. Don't be intimidated - we have a place for everyone!! This is growing to become the largest Public Service Event in the area.

In 1997, about 35 Amateur Radio Operators pulled together to help making the Greater Hartford Marathon a success. In 1998 we had over 40, and we could have used more.

You can see the Race on our "Radar Screen" ? Look at 1997 via APRS. We are looking for more GPS Trackers. If you have a GPS + TNC + 2m Radio, we will help you put this on the air as an APRS GPS Tracker.
